Holistic Remedial Massage

Holistic remedial massage is goal-oriented, designed to treat specific health conditions, reduce pain and stress,
and improve physical function, rather than solely for relaxation.

A Holistic Approach to Pain and Movement

Using a combination of fascial techniques, I can help improve circulation, increase joint mobility, and relax restricted muscles that are holding postural stress.

Our fascia (or connective tissue) can store memories and patterns of past emotional stress, trauma, and grief, manifesting as holding patterns that restrict movement. Myofascial release aims to soften these restrictions and reduce the protective response, for example, following a surgical procedure.

Holistic Remedial Massage can be adapted to suit your needs and is aimed at targeting specific problem areas. My aim is always to provide treatment that leaves you feeling more comfortable, balanced, and with improved mobility.

I offer safe, gentle, and adapted massage for people who do not enjoy, or whose bodies do not respond to painful massage techniques and require a different approach. I do not provide sports massage.

If you are looking for holistic remedial massage in Perth, I offer tailored treatments from my private clinic in Kallaroo to support your comfort, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

  • Fascial techniques to improve circulation, mobility and ease postural tension

  • Addresses both physical and emotional holding patterns in the connective tissue

  • Adapted massage using a variety of techniques

  • Tailored to your specific problem areas, goals, and comfort level

Tailored to Your Body and Your Goals

Every session begins with a conversation. I take time to understand your health history, your mobility concern and your treatment goals. This shapes every decision I make about technique, pressure, and focus throughout your treatment.

Our fascia is the body’s communication network — it connects everything and responds to everything. When it becomes tight, restricted, or inflamed, it affects how we move, how we feel, and even how we breathe. Gentle fascial work can create change that goes far beyond the area of pain.

I work with people who have complex or sensitive health conditions, those who are post-surgery or post-treatment, and those who simply want a more thoughtful, whole-body approach to their care. My clinic in Kallaroo is a quiet, welcoming space where you can arrive, let go, and focus entirely on how your body feels.

What My Clients Say

  • I have no hesitation in recommending Carole whatsoever the lady does amazing work. I have seen Carole for a few issues I've had in the past — some shoulder, knees and tennis and golfers elbow — with great results. I am a 65-year-old Personal Trainer who has put his body through a lot of punishment over the years and Carole has been a real God send. I now see Carole once a month for regular maintenance and what she does is simply fantastic. 100% Quality results.

  • I have had issues with neck pain for months and was unable to get any relief from the pain. Carole took time to listen and to figure out exactly where the pain was coming from and the massage was great. I felt a release in pressure in my neck. She asked if I had any other issues and worked on my hip which I would never have bothered to see about if she had not asked. Both felt better afterwards.

  • Carole does a wonderful job of relieving the stress and tension I carry. I thoroughly recommend her gentle and holistic approach. I walk out feeling fantastic.

Frequently Asked Holistic Remedial Massage Questions

Holistic remedial massage is goal-oriented — it focuses on specific health conditions, areas of pain or dysfunction, and works to improve physical function. Relaxation massage is primarily for rest and stress relief. My approach blends both: I aim for therapeutic results while keeping the experience as calming and comfortable as possible.

I use a variety of techniques including deep tissue pressure, however deep tissue techniques are used when required, not for a whole session. I find that muscles relax when treated with gentler hands, not from being forced. For this reason I do not provide heavy deep tissue ‘sports’ type of massage

Holistic remedial massage may use firmer techniques in some areas, and you may feel some temporary discomfort. This is often due to musculoskeletal and fascial changes. Any temporary discomfort usually settles within 24 hours. I always work within your comfort level and check in throughout.

Yes. Myofascial release and gentle fascial work can be very effective in the post-surgical period to reduce protective muscle tension, improve mobility, and support scar tissue healing. I will adapt the session to your stage of recovery and your surgeon's recommendations.

This depends on your goals. For a specific issue, it is often beneficial to have a few sessions close together, then reduce frequency as things improve. Many clients also choose to come regularly for maintenance and general wellbeing. We will discuss a care plan that is suitable for your requirements and goals
